Podcast Workshop and Gathering

In the coming Chinese New Year 2007, there will be a workshop on PODCASTING, you will get to know what is podcast, how to listen to podcast, how to make your own podcast. The venue has been confirm and will be at CG Computer Hardwicke House, Notham Tower. As for the date, the organizing side has not confirm on either 20th February or 24th February. The organiser are the person behind PenangHokkien Podcast, John Ong who is a Penang-born Chinese based in United States. He will be back on vacation during Chinese New Year and have a PenangHokkien gathering. Prizes will be win on lucky draw there too. Have fun, talk in Hokkien, learn Hokkien and more.
Penang Hokkien is a local variant of Min Nan (Southern Min) spoken in Penang, Malaysia. It is the lingua franca in Penang, and is characterised by the widespread use of Malay and English borrowed words. It is predominantly a spoken dialect: it is rarely if ever written in Chinese characters, and there is no standard romanisation. This article uses the Missionary Romanisation or Peh8-oe7-ji7 (白話字) which is common in Taiwan.
To choose the date you prefer or interested, please go here and here.

I myself wanted to go there as I listen to the podcast often, but I am going to Singapore on 20th and will be back 4 days later, so if the gathering set on Saturday, then I'll see you there =).
